Today we have the honour of being able to be the first place where you can read the blurb from The Last City, the next novel from NC Koussis. After a solid debut in The Sword of Mercy and Wrath, and the novella The Sword of Smoke and Salt, the saga will be continued in The Last City, which is expected for Q2 2023 (tentatively)

Fifteen years after the events of The Sword of Mercy and Wrath, conquerors from across the ocean have arrived. Arista, maidservant to the empress, has made killing Manisar assassins a pastime. But the walls will fall eventually, everyone says, and the foodstores ran out a year ago. It’s only when they run out of people to eat, everyone says, that the city will truly fall.
